We’ve been here at 12, Thathaneri Main Road for a good while now. Most people in Arualdaspuram know where we are. It’s a busy spot. We handle mostly steel items, the kind of things you need for building or repairs. It’s usually pretty loud in the shop because of the moving metal and the trucks coming in. We open early most mornings. Dealing with steel isn’t fancy work, but it’s what we do. Our yard is usually full of different sections and rods. Sometimes it gets a bit messy when a big delivery arrives, but we try to keep it organized enough to find what a customer is looking for. It’s mostly local contractors or guys working on their own houses who stop by. We don’t have a big office or anything like that. Just a desk and some chairs. If you come by, you’ll probably see us checking the stock or talking to a driver. We try to be fair with how we weigh things. The weather can make the yard hot, especially in the afternoons. It’s just regular work for us. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a bit over the years, but we’re still here in the same place. People usually just call or walk in to see if we have what they need in stock. If we don’t, we say so. No point in making things complicated. It is just a straightforward business on a busy street. We have a few guys who help with the heavy loading. It's hard on the back, but it is just part of the daily routine for us here.
