We are located over in Dhandari Kalan. Vicky Telecom is just a basic neighborhood shop where we do a bit of everything related to phones. It’s a simple setup with a wooden counter and a few display racks that have seen better days. We don't have a big fancy sign, just the name painted above the door. Most of the time, the shop is full of the smell of old electronics and the snacks we eat for lunch. People come to us when their chargers stop working or when they need a new SIM card. It’s a local spot, so we know most of the people who walk through the door by their first names. Dhandari Kalan can get pretty muddy when it rains, and we spend half our time mopping the floor to keep the place looking decent. We have a small workbench in the back where we do the soldering and the screen replacements. It’s quiet in the mornings, but by evening the place gets packed with people coming home from work. We don't use any high-tech systems to track things, just a notebook where we scribble down the repairs and what people owe us. It’s how we’ve always done it. Sometimes the internet goes out and we just sit and talk with whoever is waiting. We stay until the last customer leaves, which usually means we’re going home in the dark after a long day of tinkering. We just make sure everyone gets their phones back in one piece before we finally lock the front door.
