Raj Electronics is located in Moti Nagar, right where the main street gets a bit narrow and crowded. The shop is absolutely full of old televisions and dusty speakers that people have brought in for me to fix. There isn't much room to walk around inside because I have spare parts and wires scattered across all the workbenches. I’ve lived in this Moti Nagar area for a long time, so I know most of the people who walk past the shop door every day. I usually spend my afternoons with a hot soldering iron in my hand. The smell of melting solder is something I actually quite like after all these years. Sometimes a repair only takes twenty minutes, other times I’m just staring at a green circuit board for three days trying to find where the fault is. It’s not some high-tech laboratory; it’s just a small local shop with a lot of old tools and screwdrivers. People bring in everything from broken remote controls to big sound systems that don't make a sound anymore. Moti Nagar is a very lively place, so there’s always something happening right outside the window. I try to keep the front glass clear so I can see the street while I work. We don't have a computer system for tracking the repairs; I just write everything down in a big blue ledger on the desk. It works fine for me. If a part isn't available, I have to go looking for it in the city market.
