Prerana Waldorf School

Located at 976/1 on Rajpura Road, our school is in the Civil Lines area of Ludhiana. This part of town has a lot of history and old trees, which fits the way we do things here. The building is not a modern glass structure; it is more traditional and feels solid. We spend a lot of time outdoors with the students because we think being outside is just as important as being at a desk. The classrooms have a lot of wood and natural materials in them. You will not find many plastic toys or bright electronic screens here. We follow the Waldorf approach, which means things move at a bit of a different pace than other schools in Ludhiana. The morning usually starts with some rhythmic activities or singing. It can get a bit dusty being near the Rajpura Road, but we try to keep the garden green and tidy. The staff spends their time preparing materials by hand and talking about how each child is doing. It is a quiet place for the most part, though you can hear the kids playing during their long breaks. We do not have big billboards or fancy advertisements out front. Most people find us because they live nearby or heard about us from a neighbor.
