Sacred Souls School

Ludhiana is a big, busy city, and Sacred Souls School is right in the thick of it. We don't have a long, fancy driveway or a big gate that looks like a fortress. It’s just a solid, dependable building where we’ve been spending our days for quite a while now. When you walk in, you’ll notice that it feels like a place that’s been lived in. There are scuffs on the walls and the desks have names carved into them from years ago. We think it gives the place some character. The staff here aren't dressed in suits; we're just regular people trying to make sure the kids get through their lessons without too much trouble. During the breaks, the noise levels get pretty high, which is to be expected when you have so many young people in one spot. We spend a lot of time just managing the day-to-day stuff, like making sure the water coolers are full and the lights are working. It isn't a glamorous job, but it feels important to the people who live in this part of town. You’ll see the same families coming back year after year, which is nice. It makes the whole place feel a bit more like a big, messy family rather than an institution. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs doing.
