Our place is at 1C, 1C, Blockb in Udham Singh Nagar, which is right by the Civil Lines in Ludhiana. It gets very crowded on this side of town, especially in the mornings when the school day starts. The traffic outside is constant, and you can always hear the horns and the city noise from the classrooms. We have been here for a while, and the building is just a normal brick structure that we try to keep in decent shape. My day usually involves making sure the teachers have their supplies and checking if the water tanks are full. It gets incredibly hot in Ludhiana during the summer months, so we spend a lot of time keeping the coolers running. The staff mostly comes from the nearby colonies, so we all know each other’s families. We have a small yard for the kids to play in during their breaks, and it can get really loud when they are all out there at once. Sometimes we have to deal with a broken bench or a door that won't lock properly, but that is just how it goes. We are not some big corporate chain, just a local school where families bring their children. It feels like a small community inside these walls, even though the city is rushing by right outside the gate. We just focus on the lessons and keeping things running as smoothly as we can.
