Nachhattar Dj Sound Track Musical Group

Out here in Kot Mangal Singh, specifically on 1st Main, you’ll find our little setup for Nachhattar Dj Sound Track Musical Group. It gets pretty loud sometimes because we are always testing out the speakers or checking the mic connections before a weekend. It's not a quiet job, that's for sure. We spend a lot of time loading heavy boxes into the back of trucks and making sure the wires aren't tangled up. The neighborhood knows when we are working because of the bass. It is a family-run kind of thing, nothing too formal or stiff. Most of the guys here have been doing this since they were young. We don’t have a big fancy lobby or anything like that. It is mostly just a garage and a small room for the records. Sometimes we sit outside on the main road and just watch the traffic while waiting for the next gig to start. Kot Mangal Singh is a busy place, so there is always someone passing by and asking what we are up to. We just tell them we’re getting ready for the next party. It takes a lot of work to keep the gear in good shape, especially with the dust around here. We just keep at it day after day. It's what we know how to do. Sometimes the power goes out, but we just wait it out and get back to the music later.
