Anandknitwears Pvt Ltd is our family business based in Ludhiana. We are located at House No 236 1 4986Q in New Upkar Nagar, which is near Civil Lines. Ludhiana is a huge place for making clothes, so we are right in the middle of all the action. Our building is a mix of a workshop and storage. You can hear the knitting machines running from the street. It is a bit noisy but that just means we have work to do. We have piles of yarn in different colors stacked up everywhere. The address is quite long and sometimes the mail gets a bit delayed, but the local delivery guys know where we are. We have a small group of people who do the knitting and the stitching. Many of them have been with us for a decade or more. We don't have a fancy showroom. If someone wants to see what we make, they just come into the back where the stock is. We check every sweater and scarf ourselves to make sure there are no loose threads. It’s a lot of manual work and our hands are often tired by the end of the day. Winter is our busiest time and we often stay late to finish up orders. We don't really do big marketing campaigns. We just focus on getting the knitting right and keeping our regular customers happy. It’s a busy life but it feels good to make things.
