Kumar Telecom

We are tucked away in Dhandari Kalan, right near the Bhuvaneshwar Society. If you’re coming off Pashan Road, you’ll see our small sign for Kumar Telecom. Most days it’s just us here, sitting behind the glass counter and waiting for the morning rush to die down. People usually stop by when their phone screen gets a crack or if they just need a quick top-up on their data. It gets a bit dusty in the afternoons with the traffic passing by, but we keep the fan going and stay open late. I started this place a few years back because there wasn't much else around this part of the society for tech stuff. We have those glass cases filled with all sorts of cables and plastic cases that have been sitting there a while. Sometimes someone comes in just to ask for directions or because they can’t figure out their settings. It isn't a fancy place, just a room with a workbench in the back and a couple of stools for customers who have to wait. We see the same faces from the neighborhood every week. It’s a quiet life mostly. We don't have a big team or anything, just a few of us who know how to handle the tools and talk to the locals. The floor needs a sweep pretty often because of the mud people bring in during the rains. We just do what needs doing every single day until we lock up at night. The lights flicker a bit when the power gets shaky.
