Kamla Vidya School

We are located on Kakowal Road in the Dev Nagar part of Ludhiana. It is a very busy neighborhood with shops, small factories, and houses all around us. The school is a simple building that sits right on the street. We have kids from the local families coming in every morning in their uniforms. The classrooms are small but we fit the desks in as best as we can to make room for everyone. We have a small area where the children can play during their break, though it isn't a massive sports field. You can always hear the sounds of the city and the traffic outside while the lessons are going on. We teach the standard subjects like English, Hindi, and math. The teachers here are local people who know the parents and the neighborhood well. We have a small office near the entrance where we take the fees and talk to visitors who drop by. The walls are decorated with some drawings and charts made by the students. We don't have a lot of expensive equipment, just the basic things like blackboards, chalk, and textbooks. During the rainy season, the road outside can get a bit muddy, so we spend a lot of time cleaning the floors to keep the place tidy. We just try to provide a steady, reliable place for the kids to go every day. It is a lot of routine work, from taking attendance to checking the homework notebooks.
