Kaku Fast Food

Our little place, Kaku Fast Food, is located at 2244/4C in Balajinagar, which is part of Abdullapur Basti. It’s a tiny spot, really just enough for the kitchen and a small counter. We mostly make quick bites for people who are on the move. Most of our customers are locals who live just a few doors down or people passing through the Basti. We start prepping the ingredients early in the afternoon so we are ready for the evening crowd. It gets very busy once the sun goes down and people are looking for something to eat before heading home. The stove is almost always on, and the smell of spices usually drifts out into the street. We don't have any fancy signs or advertisements. People just find us by the smell or by seeing the line. We keep the place as clean as we can, though the walls get a bit greasy from all the frying. It’s just a two-person operation most of the time. We don't have a big menu, just the things we know how to make well. Sometimes we run out of bread or gas and have to close up for an hour to go get more. That’s just life in Balajinagar. We aren't trying to be anything more than a local food stall. We just serve what we have and chat with the folks who stop by.
