Jarnail Singh

Down here at Narayan Estate in Ludhiana, things move at their own pace. I’m Jarnail Singh and this is where I spend most of my time, right at unit 640. It’s a busy part of the city and there is always some noise from the neighbors or trucks moving stuff in and out of the estate. My setup isn't very big but it serves the purpose. I handle a lot of different things depending on what day it is. Sometimes it’s just paperwork and other times I’m dealing with people coming in to talk about their requirements. Ludhiana is a tough place to work because it gets so hot in the summer, but you get used to it. The estate has been home for this business for a long time. I don't see the point in moving somewhere fancy when everything I need is right here. My desk is usually a bit of a mess with notes and old receipts but I know where everything is. People in the area know me by name and that’s how I like it. I don’t use any of those big marketing strategies. I just show up every morning, open the doors, and do what needs to be done. It’s a simple life and the work is steady enough to keep things going. If you’re ever around Narayan Estate you’ll probably see me sitting by the door or talking to one of the drivers who come by for deliveries.
