Harinder Singh Sodhi

Ludhiana is a busy place, and our corner at 596 1 is no different. Harinder Singh Sodhi is the name on the door, but it’s really just a small operation focused on getting things handled properly. The building is right in the middle of a lot of activity, so there is always something going on outside. Inside, we keep things pretty basic. We have a few desks, some sturdy shelves for storage, and a calendar on the wall that’s usually covered in scribbles. We don't use any high-tech systems to manage our day. A lot of it is just remembering who needs what and making sure we follow through. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just have to wait it out or work by the light from the window. It’s just part of being here. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a sleek office or expensive furniture. The chairs are comfortable enough, and the tea is usually hot. Most of our visitors are locals who have been coming to us for years. They know where we are and how we work. We don’t have any fancy brochures to hand out. If you have a question, you just ask, and we give you a straight answer. It’s a very practical way to run things, and it keeps life simple for everyone involved. We just show up every morning and do the work as best as we can without any delay.
