Gurlej Akhtar Musical Group

We are a group of folks who enjoy making music, and you can usually find us around Samrala Road. Our spot is at Street Number 3, on Ambedkar Road, house 138. It isn't a big fancy studio with soundproofing and expensive lights, just a place where we can get together and practice. We have been playing together for a bit now, mostly traveling to different spots for events. The van is always packed with instruments and gear, and we spend a lot of time on the road. Samrala Road is where we start and end our journeys. It gets pretty loud when we are all there rehearsing, but the neighbors haven't complained too much yet. We don't have a big marketing plan or a corporate office. We just like what we do. Sometimes we stay up late fixing a piece of equipment or trying to get a song just right. It is a bit of a messy life, honestly, with cables everywhere and someone always looking for a lost tuner. But it’s ours. When we aren't out performing, we're probably sitting around at the address on Ambedkar Road just talking about the next gig. We don't try to be something we're not. We are just a local musical group trying to keep the rhythm going. It’s hard work sometimes, but we wouldn't have it any other way. We just keep playing and hope the music sounds okay to everyone else.
