G A D Convent Sen Sec School

If you go down Tedhi Road in New Shimlapuri, you’ll see G A D Convent Sen Sec School. It’s right in the heart of Ludhiana, so it’s surrounded by houses and small shops. The neighborhood is quite busy, and the school is a big part of the local life there. We have students from the primary level all the way up to senior secondary, so there’s a wide range of ages walking through the doors every day. The building has several floors, and you can always hear the echo of voices coming from the stairs. Our day starts early, and by eight o’clock, the whole place is buzzing. Teachers are busy trying to get through the lessons while the kids are thinking about the cricket match at break time. We have a small office near the entrance where we keep all the records and handle the admissions. It’s a typical Ludhiana school—not too quiet, always something happening, and very much a part of the daily routine for the families in Shimlapuri. The desks are a bit scratched and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it’s a place where people work hard. We don't have much room for fancy extras, so we just focus on the books and the exams that determine where these kids will go next in their lives. It is a bit of a squeeze sometimes, but we make it work for everyone.
