Flavour'S Food

Working at Flavour'S Food means dealing with the crowds of Ghumar Mandi every day. Our address is 2516, and it’s right in the thick of things. The kitchen is small and gets very hot when all the burners are going. I usually have to step outside for a minute just to breathe some cooler air, even if the air outside is full of exhaust. We have a few small tables but they are usually cramped. People don’t seem to mind the tight space much. They just want their food. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, to be honest. There are some marks where chairs have bumped into them over the years. We keep the menu simple because the kitchen can’t handle too many different things at once. I spend a lot of time chopping vegetables on a big plastic board that’s seen better days. The knife is sharp though. 2516 is a busy number in a busy market. We hear the honking and the shouting from the street all day long. Sometimes a customer complains that it's too noisy, but that’s just Ghumar Mandi for you. We do our best to get the plates out fast. The sink is always full of dishes that need washing. We take turns doing that. It’s a grind, but the day goes by fast when you’re this busy. The grease on the stove takes a lot of scrubbing every night.
