Dumax Exports

We operate out of Shakti Sadan, which is at 492 L in the Model Town area of Ludhiana. It’s a decent-sized place, but we’ve managed to fill every corner with boxes and crates. Being in Ludhiana, we’re right in the middle of a lot of industry, so things are always moving around us. Dumax Exports has been here for a while. We spend a lot of time on the phone with shipping agents and checking on trucks. The winters here get really cold, so we usually have a small heater going in the main office area while we’re working. The summer is the opposite, just hot and dusty. Our desks are covered in ledgers and export forms. It’s not the kind of place where you’ll find fancy decorations. We have a few old calendars on the wall and a map that’s starting to yellow at the edges. Most of the guys who work here have been with us for a long time. We know the neighbors and the local tea stall owner knows exactly how we like our tea. Some days everything goes smoothly and the shipments leave on time. Other days, there’s a delay at the port or a truck breaks down and we’re all stressed out. We just take it as it comes. It’s a practical business, focusing on getting things from one place to another without too much fuss. We stay busy, we work hard, and we keep the cycles going year after year.
