Barclays Bank

We are located in Lig Colony in the Jamalpur area of Ludhiana. This is a very local spot. Most people here are just going about their daily lives. Barclays Bank is inside one of the blocks. The colony has many small lanes. Finding the right house can be a challenge if you are not from around here. There is a lot of dust because of the factories nearby. Ludhiana is known for that. Our office is simple. We have a few desks and some plastic chairs for guests. The floor is tiled and we try to sweep it every morning. It gets quite cold in the winter. We use small heaters to keep our hands warm while we type. In the summer, the ceiling fans are always on. We can hear the children playing in the park across the street. There is a small grocery store on the corner where we buy biscuits. The building is nothing special to look at. It has been painted a dull yellow. The windows are small. We have a lot of ledgers and books piled up on the side. It is a hardworking environment. We don't have fancy lights or a coffee machine. We just drink tea from the stall down the road. It is a practical place for us to be. People from the neighborhood stop by sometimes just to say hello.
