We’ve been here at the 3rd floor of Surya Kiran Ph-2 on Mall Road for quite some time now. You know how it is on Mall Road, always busy and a bit loud with the traffic down below. Our office is just a regular space where we keep our drawing boards and a lot of rolled-up blueprints that seem to take over the desks. It’s not a fancy place, just where we do our work. Most days, we are just sitting here at Asquare Architects trying to figure out how to make a building work for someone's budget. Usually, there is a lot of tea going around while we look at site plans. The windows look out over the street and you can see everyone rushing about. Sometimes it gets a bit dusty with all the construction happening nearby in Ludhiana. We started out small and we’re still just a small group of people who like designing things. You might have to climb the stairs if the lift is acting up, which happens sometimes. We don't have a big reception desk or anyone in a suit waiting to greet you. Usually, you just walk in and find one of us hunched over a computer or talking on the phone with a contractor. It’s a practical setup. We spend our mornings checking emails and our afternoons usually involve a lot of sketching. It’s just us doing what we know how to do.
