Acido Architech

Our studio is at 149 Maya Nagar, which is just a stone's throw from the Gurdwara in Civil Lines. It’s a nice part of Ludhiana to work in because it feels established and has a bit of character. Acido Architech is basically just a couple of rooms where we have our computers and drawing boards set up. You can often hear the prayers from the Gurdwara throughout the day, which is quite peaceful when things get stressful. The office itself is usually cluttered with site photos and half-finished models. We don’t really have a receptionist, so we just shout to each other from the other room when someone comes in. We do a lot of our own measuring and site visits, so our shoes are often a bit muddy. Civil Lines is a busy area, but our street stays relatively calm. We’ve got a small fridge that usually only has some milk and water in it. We don't spend much on advertising because most people just find us by walking past or through word of mouth. It’s not a polished environment by any means. There’s a leaky tap in the back that we keep meaning to fix. We just like building things and seeing projects come to life. It’s a lot of hard work and long hours at the desk, but we wouldn't have it any other way.
