Marya Hotels & Resorts Private Limited operates out of the 4th floor at Shalimar Titanium. That’s in Vibhuti Khand, Gomti Nagar, which is a pretty well-known part of Lucknow. Being on the 4th floor means we spend a fair bit of time waiting for the elevator every day. The office is number 405. It’s a decent space, but it’s mostly filled with files and some old computers we probably should have replaced a year ago. We’re just regular people working here. We handle the management side of the hotels and resorts we’re involved with. It’s a lot of coordination and talking to people on the phone. Sometimes we have meetings that go on for way too long, mostly just discussing repairs or staffing issues. Gomti Nagar is a busy area, so there’s always something going on outside our windows. We don’t really have a grand vision or a fancy mission statement. We just come in, do the work that’s on the desk, and try to make sure things run as smoothly as possible for our guests elsewhere. It’s a bit of a grind sometimes, but we like it well enough. We’re just a local business trying to stay afloat in a competitive city. There isn’t much more to it than that. We just focus on the day-to-day tasks and try not to get too stressed out about the little things that go wrong.
