The Ritz Carlton Bahrain Hotel & Spa

It might seem a bit strange to have a name like The Ritz Carlton Bahrain Hotel & Spa and be located in a DDA MIG flat in Mayur Vihar Phase-III. We are at 10-C in Pocket-5. This isn't the actual hotel, obviously, but a regional office where we handle things from the Delhi side. The flat has been converted into a workspace. It’s got that typical DDA layout with small rooms and a narrow balcony. We have some computers and a landline that used to ring a lot more before everyone switched to mobile. Our phone number ends in 3270, and we’ve had it for years. Working from Mayur Vihar is pretty quiet compared to the main city. We don’t have the luxury of a spa or a five-star lobby here. It’s just us sitting at desks, dealing with bookings and spa inquiries from people in India. Sometimes it’s a bit cramped with all the files and supplies, but we make it work. The neighborhood is very residential, so you see people drying clothes on balconies and kids coming home from school. It’s a world away from Bahrain, but this is where the administrative side of things happens. We just go about our business, answering emails and making sure the details are right. It’s a practical, no-frills office. We usually wrap up and lock the gate by evening like everyone else in the block.
