Dr. Virendra Swarup Public School

We are located over in Mahanagar on Acharya Narendradev Marg. It’s a decent area, quite central for many families living around here. The school isn't new; it has been part of the neighborhood for quite some years. If you walk past in the morning, you’ll see the yellow buses pulling up and parents dropping off their kids on scooters. The building itself has a lot of rooms and stairs. We spend most of our time organizing the kids and making sure they are in their seats. It gets quite hectic during the monsoon when the rain hits the windows and everyone wants to stay inside. Our staff room is usually a bit messy with books and tea cups, but that’s how it is when you’re busy teaching. We have a playground but it’s not huge, just enough for some games. Dr. Virendra Swarup Public School has seen many batches of students come and go. Some of the old students even come back to visit and tell us what they are doing now. It’s nice to see them grown up. In the summers, the ceiling fans are always humming. We don't use much big talk here. We just teach the lessons and keep things moving along. Sometimes the printers break down or we run out of chalk, and we just deal with it. It’s just a normal school life for all of us in Lucknow. We just keep our heads down and do the work.
