St Francis School

Being in Gomti Nagar means we’re right in the thick of it here in Lucknow. Our school at 226010 is a place most locals know just by passing by on their daily commute. It’s a fairly large space, and every morning there’s that familiar rush of rickshaws and cars outside the main gates. The corridors are long and can get pretty noisy when the bell rings for the change of periods. We’ve got teachers who have been here for years, and they know the routine inside out. It’s not just about the lessons; it’s the whole atmosphere of the place. You see kids growing up right in front of you, from little ones to teenagers. The playground gets a lot of use, and by the end of the week, it usually looks like it needs a good sweep. We don't try to be something we're not. It’s just a school where we try to keep things organized and make sure the day goes smoothly. Sometimes the power goes out or a window gets broken during a game of cricket, but that’s just part of life. We focus on the basics and try to help the students get through their exams without too much extra stress. It’s a lot of work for everyone involved, but we’re used to the pace of life in this part of Lucknow. Every year the faces change, but the feeling of the school stays pretty much the same for us.
