Sal Steel Ltd

Sal Steel Ltd is located at number 47, Shreeji Nagar in the town of Mahuva. We are tucked right behind V T Nagar, just off Gandhi Baug Road. It is a pretty dusty part of the neighborhood, but that is just how it goes when you are dealing with steel products all day. We have been at this location for a long time. The yard stays full of heavy metal rods, pipes, and large sheets of steel. It gets quite loud whenever the big trucks come in to load up or drop off supplies. We don't have a fancy front office with a receptionist. It is mostly just the warehouse space and a small, cramped room where we keep the ledgers and the telephone. The sun gets really hot here in Mahuva, so the steel is often way too warm to touch if you aren't wearing thick gloves. We have a small crew of local workers who handle all the heavy lifting and moving. We don't do much talking during the day, as we are mostly focused on getting the orders filled correctly. Sometimes local people come in looking for specific lengths of steel for a small house project. We cut it down to size for them using the old cutters. It is honest, physical work. The machinery we use is quite old, but we keep it well-greased and it still does the job. There is always a smell of grease and metal.
