You can find us on the ground floor of Plot No. 123 in Ward 10 Bc, over here in Gandhidham. It’s a dry, salty part of the world, and the wind in Kachchh really carries the dust into every corner. Gallantt Metal is mostly about moving heavy loads and keeping track of inventory. The office is simple. We have a few desks, some old filing cabinets, and a water cooler that’s always empty because we drink so much. It’s not the kind of place where you wear a suit. Most of us are in sturdy boots because there’s always something heavy that could drop on your feet. The ground floor is convenient for deliveries, but we get all the street noise and the exhaust from the trucks passing by. We have a small yard where the metal gets stacked. Sometimes it looks like a mess, but there is a system to it, even if it’s only in our heads. We spend a lot of time checking numbers and making sure the weights are right. The heat in Gandhidham can be tough in May, so we start early to get the worst of the work done before noon. We aren't trying to change the world or anything, we just supply metal and try to keep things moving. It’s a basic operation and we like it that way. Most days we just want to get through the list and go home.
