Jindal Saw Ltd

Out here at the IPU New Colony in Samaghoga, it feels a bit different than being in the middle of a big city. We are based in B 4/4. It is part of the Jindal Saw Ltd setup near Mundra. The wind blows quite a bit because we are near the coast in Kutch. You can usually find a layer of dust on the windows by the end of the day. It’s just part of life here. The colony is quiet mostly, except for the sound of trucks moving in the distance. We have a small crew working in this office. We spend most of our time looking at schedules and talking to the guys on the site. It’s not the kind of place where you wear a suit and tie. We keep it practical. The coffee isn’t great, but it gets us through the afternoon. We usually walk over to the small canteen for food. It’s a short walk and gives us some fresh air. Living and working in the same general area means we see each other all the time. It’s a small community. We don’t have any big missions or goals written on the walls. We just want to make sure the work is done right and on time. It’s a straightforward job in a straightforward place. That’s just the way it is. We appreciate the quiet evenings once the main shift is over. It’s a good spot to be in.
