Jindal Saw Limited

This is the accounts department for Jindal Saw Limited. We are located out on Pragpur Mandvi Road. It’s quite a way out in Kutch, near Samaghogha. The post office is right there too. Mundra is the nearest big taluka, and the whole area is pretty industrial but also has that dry Kutch feel to it. Our office is where all the numbers get crunched. It’s not a glamorous job, just piles of papers and spreadsheets every single day. We deal with the bills and the payments here. The road outside gets a lot of trucks since it’s the Mandvi road. Sometimes it’s dusty, especially when the wind picks up. We’ve been set up here in Gujarat for quite a bit. The staff here mostly comes from the nearby villages or from Mundra town. We start our day with a bit of a commute. It’s a practical setup. We have what we need to do the accounting. Most of the time it’s just the sound of calculators and tapping on keyboards. Samaghogha is a small place, so everyone knows where the Jindal Saw office is. We don't have fancy signs or anything like that. Just a door and some desks inside. It gets hot in the afternoons, but we manage. We just keep our heads down and make sure the accounts are right before we head home. It's a solid place to work. There is a small window that looks out towards the road where we can see the weather changing. Sometimes we stay late when the month ends.
