Being over here in Ranip, specifically in Tirupati Society, makes things feel a bit different than a standard industrial site. It is more of a residential vibe around here, which is nice when the day gets long. We handle things for the Gandhidham side of the business from this spot in Ahmedabad. Most of my day is spent looking at spreadsheets and talking to drivers who are miles away. It gets a bit cramped in the office sometimes because we have folders stacked up from years of records. The tea guy comes by twice a day and that is usually the highlight of the afternoon. We don’t have a big polished lobby or anyone sitting at a front desk to greet people. It’s just us working in the back rooms. Sometimes the neighbors wonder about all the talk of steel when they only see us with pens and papers. The Ahmedabad traffic can be a pain, but the location works for what we need to do. It’s a straightforward operation. We handle the logistics and the back-end stuff that keeps the steel moving where it needs to go. We aren't trying to be anything we aren't. Just a group of people making sure the orders are straight and the payments get processed. It’s a lot of mundane tasks that add up to a full day of work. We keep the fans running and stay focused on the lists in front of us.
