Our setup for Gpt Steel Industries Limited is out at Plot 301 in Mithirohar. Being in GIDC Phase-II means we are surrounded by other factories and warehouses, so there is always the sound of sirens or heavy engines in the background. It’s a dusty place, especially when the wind picks up across the open plots. We spend our days managing the steel stock and coordinating with the transport guys who bring the raw materials in. The shed is big and keeps the sun off, which is a relief during the summer months. We have a small office section that’s mostly just for the accounts and some basic files. It’s not the kind of place where you’d wear a suit. Most of us are in boots and sturdy clothes because of the metal lying around. We’ve been at this location for a bit, and we know the neighbors well. The roads inside Phase-II can be a bit bumpy, especially after it rains, but the trucks manage. We just focus on getting the steel cut or moved as per the daily schedule. There isn't much flair to the way we operate. It is mostly about keeping the machinery running and making sure the gates stay clear for deliveries. It’s hard work, but it’s what we do here in Mithirohar. Sometimes the power is a bit patchy, so we just work around it with our small generator until things come back on.
