Nahta Sea Brines

Nahta Sea Brines is located over at D. B. Z. South 60 in Gandhidham-kachchh. We work with salt and brine from the sea. This part of Gujarat is famous for it, so we fit right in. The air here always smells like the ocean and salt. It’s a dusty business, but we’ve been doing it for quite some time now. We have a few tanks and some processing equipment that we keep running. Most of our days are spent checking the levels and making sure the pumps are working. The sun gets really hot out here in Gandhidham. We spend a lot of time outside in the yard. It's not the cleanest job, you end up with salt on your boots and clothes by the end of the shift. We aren't a massive corporation, just a local outfit trying to get the salt ready for whoever needs it. Some of us have lived in Kachchh our whole lives. We know the weather and how it affects the brine. When the rains come, everything slows down, and we just wait it out. The office is small and usually has a bit of sand on the floor. We don't worry about it much. We just focus on the orders we have to fill. It's steady work. We see the same truck drivers every week. Sometimes we sit and have a chat when things are quiet. If you come by, you might have to wait a bit if we're busy.
