Out here in Gandhidham, the sun hits the Narmada SDF Complex pretty hard most days. We are set up across three different units—101, 201, and 301—in Phase 2 of the Kandla Special Economic Zone. It is a busy place to be. There is always something moving in the corridors, and the smell of different flavours usually hangs in the air around our doors. We spend a lot of time checking batches and making sure the containers are packed right for shipping. Being in an SEZ means there is a lot of paperwork and gates to go through, but we have gotten used to the routine over the years. Our space isn't meant for visitors to sit and have tea; it is a working factory environment where people are busy on the floor. The Kutch weather can be a bit much, especially in the afternoons, but the work inside doesn't stop. We have our equipment spread out between the three units to keep things organized. You can hear the hum of the machinery from the hallway. It is just a straightforward operation where we focus on getting the product out the door. We aren't doing anything fancy with the office decor. It’s mostly just pallets, boxes, and the people who know how to run the machines. We’ve been in this part of the complex for a while now and know the neighbors.
