Lalji Mavji Co

Lalji Mavji Co is located at Shop No D 100, right by Zanda Chowk in Gandhidham Kachchh. If you know the chowk, you know it can get pretty loud and crowded with all the traffic and people moving around. Our shop is right in the middle of that energy. We open up early and usually start by cleaning the front step because the dust from the street settles overnight. It’s a sturdy old place, and we’ve seen a lot of changes in the neighborhood over the years. Inside, it’s mostly just us and the supplies we keep on hand. We don't spend money on fancy decorations or anything that doesn't help us do our work. People stop by all the time, sometimes just to ask for directions or to see what’s new. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who have been doing this for a long time. The afternoon heat can be a lot, especially at Zanda Chowk, so we tend to slow down a bit then. We’ve got a routine that works for us, and we don't see any reason to change it. It’s an honest way to spend the day. We deal with people face to face, and that’s how we like it. The shop feels like a second home after so many years. It’s just a basic spot where we get things done and talk to our neighbors. It isn't much to look at from the outside, but it works for us.
