Mono Steel India Ltd. is located out in the Kutch district, specifically at Sy No. 374 and several other plots like 397 and 398 in the Palki-2 area of Dhamadha. This is in the Anjar taluka. It is a vast landscape out here and the wind can blow pretty hard across the open ground. Working with steel in this environment is a serious task. We have big structures and heavy machinery for handling the metal. It gets very hot near the processing areas, and the sun in Gujarat doesn't make it any easier. The site is spread out over several survey numbers, so we do a lot of walking or driving between the different sections. It’s a very industrial setting. There are stacks of steel waiting to be moved and big cranes that do the heavy lifting. We have a lot of workers who stay nearby or travel from Anjar. It isn't a quiet place. There is always some kind of mechanical noise or the sound of trucks being loaded. We don't go in for fancy talk. We just focus on the production and making sure the steel is moved out to the ports or the railways on time. The terrain is dry and dusty, but that’s just how it is in this part of Kutch. We have our routines and we stick to them. It takes a lot of coordination to keep a place this big running every day.
