Datta Rice Mills

Datta Rice Mills is situated at Plot No-246/3 on New Khedipar Road. It is a fairly large plot, which is good because we need the space for all the rice we handle. The road outside is often busy with big trucks and motorcycles, making it a bit of a noisy place to work. We have been here for a while, and the mill has become a bit of a landmark for people driving down New Khedipar Road. Inside the mill, it is all about the machinery. The sound is constant when we are working, and the smell of toasted grain is always in the air. We don't have a fancy showroom or a place for guests to sit. Usually, if someone comes by, they just stand in the doorway and talk to us while we work. It is a practical environment where getting the job done is the only thing that matters. We don't have a mission statement or any of those corporate things. We just want to make sure the rice is processed well and the machines don't break down too often. The work is hard on the back and the lungs, but it is what we know. We are a small team and we all pitch in with whatever needs doing, whether it is loading bags or fixing a belt on a machine. It’s just a normal, local business trying to stay busy every day.
