Pt. Mayaram Farmer Producer Company Limited

We are over in the Ladwa area, specifically in VPO Dhnora Jattan. Sohan Kumar is the person in charge and he’s the son of Mr. Pitamber. We named the company Pt. Mayaram Farmer Producer Company Limited. It’s a way to honor the past while we work on the future. The office is right there in the village. It’s a plain place with some stacks of files and a few benches for people to sit on. We get a lot of farmers coming in with their muddy boots, so we don't worry about keeping the floor perfect. Ladwa is a good place to be, but it keeps us busy. We don't have any high-tech gadgets, just what we need to get the records done. Sohan is usually busy on the phone or out in the fields. We don't spend money on fancy advertisements. Most people know us by word of mouth. It’s how things work in Dhnora Jattan. We drink a lot of water and try to stay out of the midday sun when we can. The company is just a way for us to stay organized. It’s not a big polished operation. We make mistakes sometimes and have to fix them. That’s just life. We are just local people trying to make a living from what the ground gives us. It is a long day every day, but we enjoy being here.
