If you look at the land records, you will find us at Khewat No. 241, Khasra No. 55. That is where Atail Farmer Producer Company Limited is officially located. It sounds like a bunch of numbers to most people, but to us, it is just home. We are a small group of farmers from the Atail area. We do not have a big fancy office building with glass windows or air conditioning. We usually meet near the fields or at one of the houses when the sun goes down. Most of us have been farming since we were old enough to walk behind our fathers. This company is our way of trying to get more organized. Farming alone is a lot of stress for one family to handle. When you have a group, you can share the burden a little bit. It takes a lot of patience. We talk about the price of diesel and which fertilizers are actually worth the money this year. It is a very practical business we are running. We do not have time for fluff or marketing talk. We just want to grow good crops and get a decent price for them at the end of the day. Sometimes the paperwork gets confusing and we have to ask for help, but we are slowly getting better at it. It is just us, the soil, and the crops. We do not pretend to be anything we are not. We are just neighbors.
