Gumthala Garhu Farmers Producer Company Limited

We are based out of Dera Fateh Singh in Pehowa. Karanjeet Singh Chatha lets us use his place as the main point for the company. It’s a small village, and everyone knows everyone else. We started this because the farmers around Gumthala Garhu needed a way to stay organized. Farming in Pehowa has its ups and downs. One year the crop is great, and the next, you’re just hoping to break even. We spend our mornings checking the fields and our evenings talking about what to plant next. It’s a community thing, really. We don’t have a fancy corporate building, just a room where we keep our records and meet up. Most of us have known each other since we were kids. We share tools and advice, and now we share this company. It helps when we need to get fertilizer or talk to the grain market people. Sometimes the bureaucracy is a headache, but having the group makes it easier to handle. We try to look out for the smaller guys who only have a few acres. It’s not just about the money, it’s about making sure the village stays productive. We’re just regular people trying to make a living off the land. If you’re passing through Dera Fateh Singh, you might see us sitting outside talking shop. That’s just how we operate.
