Our place is in Mangoli Jattan which is a bit quieter than the big city centers nearby. We are situated right near the Shiv Mandir so you can often hear the bells ringing or people gathering for prayers in the mornings. It’s a very local feel here. We mostly deal with whatever the people in the village need help with when it comes to their gadgets or home appliances. The shop is small and the floor is made of plain cement that we sweep every morning before the sun gets too high. There are always a couple of bikes parked out front and someone usually stops by just to say hello or ask for a bit of advice on a repair. We have a lot of old tools that have seen better days but they still work just fine for what we do. The shelves are a bit disorganized with different types of capacitors and wires tangled together but we know where everything is. It’s a slow pace of life in Mangoli Jattan compared to the industrial hubs. We don't have a big staff just a couple of us who know our way around a circuit board. On rainy days the water drips a little bit near the back door but we just put a bucket under it and keep working. It feels like home to us and we've been part of this community for a long time.
