We are located right at 8, Devi Mandir Market here in Shahabad. It is a busy spot but we like it that way. Most days it is just us getting things ready before the market crowds really start showing up. Haryana can get quite warm in the afternoons, so people often duck in to get away from the sun for a bit. We have been at this address in the Kurukshetra area for a while now. It is not a fancy place by any means. There are plenty of chairs and we keep the floors swept as much as we can with people coming in and out all day long. My family helps out with most of the work. Sometimes the supply trucks block the road near the market entrance, making things a bit slow, but that is just how it is in Shahabad. We just focus on the cooking and making sure the stove stays hot. It is a simple life for us. We know most of the people who walk through that door by their first names or at least by what they usually like to eat. If you are walking past the Devi Mandir, you will see our sign. We do not spend much on big ads or anything like that. We just stay open until the market starts to quiet down in the evening. It is a good community to be a part of.
