The road is always loud with trucks and buses zooming past. I spend a lot of time standing out front or checking on the pots in the kitchen. It’s a simple place with heavy wooden tables and benches. We don’t have air conditioning or anything like that, just some fans that hum all day long. My brother and I started this because we knew people always need a place to sit down and eat something warm while they are on a long drive. We don't have a massive menu, just the usual things that people like. It’s a lot of cleaning and washing dishes after the lunch rush. Sometimes the dust from the highway gets everywhere, so we are always dusting things off. It’s honest work and it keeps us tired but happy.
