Sri Krishna Matriculation School

Our school, Sri Krishna Matriculation School, is found on Pernambut Road in the area of Chinna Dhamal Cheruvu. It’s a plain-looking place, just a simple building where we’ve been teaching for a long time. The street outside is often full of people going to the market or heading to work. We have a front gate that stays open in the morning to let everyone in and then we shut it once the first bell goes off. Inside, the classrooms are arranged around a small central space. The paint is peeling a bit on the ceiling, but we try to keep the floors swept and the desks lined up. It’s a lot of work just keeping up with the daily schedule. We have some fans that hum quite loudly when they are on, which sometimes makes it hard to hear the teacher. Most of the families who send their kids here live within walking distance, so we see them around the village quite often. We don’t have fancy equipment or a big computer lab, just the standard books and blackboards. Lunchtime is the loudest part of the day, with everyone eating their tiffin boxes out in the shade. It’s a basic environment, but it serves the purpose for the people here in Chinna Dhamal Cheruvu. We just take things one day at a time, making sure the students follow the lessons and finish their work before heading home in the evening.
