You can find Cms Matriculation Higher Secondary School right on the Krishnagiri Road in Uttangarai. It’s a long stretch of road and there’s always trucks and buses passing by, so it’s never really silent here. Being a higher secondary school, we deal with older students who are busy worrying about their exams and their future. The atmosphere is a bit more serious than a primary school, I suppose. The staff room is usually full of notebooks that need grading and tea cups that have gone cold. We have been at this location in Krishnagiri for quite some time, and the building shows its age in some spots. We don’t have a lot of polished marble or fancy decorations. It’s a place for studying. The classrooms have big windows to let the air in because it gets quite stuffy in the afternoons. We follow the matriculation system and just try to keep the students on track with their lessons. Most of the parents come from around the area and they just want their kids to do okay in life. We don’t promise anything amazing, we just provide the space and the teachers for them to learn. It’s a busy place with a lot of movement from the gate to the back of the grounds. We just keep the gates open and get on with the daily schedule like everyone else.
