Sri Krishna Matriculation School

Sri Krishna Matriculation School is located at number 71 on Pernambut Road. We’re right in the middle of Chinna Dhamal Cheruvu, so it’s easy for the local families to find us. The road gets quite busy with buses and carts, but once you step inside the gates, it gets a little quieter. We have a long hallway that connects the different classrooms, and it’s always filled with the sound of kids talking. The building itself is older, with some cracks in the plaster here and there, but it holds up well. We have a small yard in the back where the children play during their breaks. It's mostly dirt and a few patches of grass, but they don't seem to mind. Our teachers are usually busy grading papers or setting up the boards for the next lesson. We use chalk and talk mostly, keeping things simple. On hot days, we open all the doors to let the air move through. Living and working in Chinna Dhamal Cheruvu means we know most of the people who walk past our gate every day. We aren't a big institution with lots of money, just a local school trying to get through the yearly curriculum. We have a few cupboards for the books and a small desk for the person in charge. It’s a humble place, just doing the daily work of teaching the kids from the neighborhood.
