You can find us right on the Rayakottai Highways in Hosur. Being near the highway means there is almost always the sound of trucks and cars passing by. It’s a bit of a landmark for people driving out of the main town area. The school building is a sturdy one, built to handle the local weather which is usually a bit cooler than the rest of the state. We have a fair amount of space around the building which is nice for the kids. The classrooms are large and have high ceilings. We spend a lot of time on the basics here. There are rows of desks and plenty of cupboards for storing supplies and old records. The morning assembly is held out in the front where we can see the road. We have a few buses that bring the children in from the surrounding villages. It’s a practical setup for a public school. We don't have any high-tech gadgets or fancy lounges. The teachers have a simple room to sit in during their free periods. Most of our day is spent following the government syllabus and making sure the kids are where they are supposed to be. The dust from the road is a constant battle, so we are always sweeping the floors. It’s just a regular, working school on the edge of the city. We keep things running as smoothly as we can.
