Marygiri Public School

We've been here on Main Central Road in Koothattukulam for quite a while now. Most people around here know where Marygiri Public School is because we're right on the main stretch. It's a busy spot but that's just how it is. Every morning the gates open and the kids start coming in from all over the neighborhood. We don't have fancy logos or big billboards everywhere. Instead, we just focus on the daily stuff that needs doing. There is always a lot of noise during break time and you can hear the shouting from the road. Our buildings are older but they hold up well enough. The teachers come in early and some stay late to finish up their paperwork or talk to parents who stop by. We have a playground that gets a lot of use, though the grass sometimes struggles in the heat. It’s not a perfect place but it’s ours. We deal with the usual school problems like broken desks or leaky taps when it rains hard. People in Koothattukulam know us as a regular part of the community. We don't try to be something we aren't. It’s just a place for kids to spend their days learning things and hanging out with their friends. You will see the yellow buses lined up outside every afternoon, and that is when things get really hectic with the traffic. We just take it one day at a time here and keep things moving. It works for us and the families who come here.
