Our school is located right on Canal Road in the Borkheda area of Kota. Driving along the main road, you can't really miss the building. For many years, it has been a landmark for folks living in this part of Rajasthan. We deal with students from primary up to senior secondary levels. Because the canal flows nearby, the area can get quite busy during the morning rush. The sound of the water in the canal is something you get used to after a while. Classrooms are plenty, and we try to keep the desks in good shape for the kids. This is a practical sort of place. Fancy decorations or big events don't take up much of our time. Instead, our days are spent making sure the syllabus is covered and the kids are behaving. Older teachers who have been here forever work alongside some newer ones from the city. Since Kota is known for its focus on studies, we fit right into that atmosphere. We have a few trees near the entrance where people park their cycles during the day. In the afternoons, the playground gets a lot of use, and it can be a bit loud when the final bell rings. Whether it is a leaky pipe or a busy exam week, we manage things as they come. People here just work hard at a regular school. Serving local families without making a big fuss is how things have always been done at Sanjay Gandhi Sr Sec School.
