Guru Harikishan Public School

Up here in Sri Ganganagar, at 3 Puli, you’ll find Guru Harikishan Public School. Rajasthan can get incredibly hot, so our days often start quite early to beat the sun. The school is a place where local kids from the 3 Puli area and nearby parts of Sriganganagar come to study. It’s not a fancy setup, just a solid building with enough rooms for all the different grades. We have a lot of dust sometimes because of the wind, so keeping the place tidy is a constant job for us. The teachers here are practical people. They focus on getting the lessons done and making sure the students understand what’s in their textbooks. We have a bit of open space out front where the kids gather for assembly. It’s a regular sight to see the yellow buses pulling in every morning. We don't use a lot of complicated language about what we do. It’s just a school. We make sure the water coolers are full and the benches are in good shape. Life in this part of the state has its own rhythm, and the school follows it closely. We see kids grow up from small children into young adults before they move on. It’s a long process, and we’re just here to provide the space for it to happen. We keep things simple and keep the gates open for everyone.
