Good Shephard Public School

Good Shephard Public School is located in Jwahar Nagar, within the Sri Ganganagar district. It is a busy neighborhood and we have become a familiar sight for everyone living around here. The building is not new, but we keep it whitewashed and the windows stay open most of the time to catch a breeze during the hot months. We have a good number of students now, from the small ones just starting out to the older kids finishing up. Our playground is mostly dirt, which is common for this area, and the kids spend their breaks playing cricket or just running around. We do not have a lot of extra bells and whistles. It is just classrooms, blackboards, and a lot of daily teaching. The staff room is usually piled high with notebooks that need marking. We see the parents at the gate every morning, often chatting about the weather or local news before they head off. It is a straightforward environment where we focus on the books and making sure the children understand what they are reading. Sometimes we have to remind them to stay in the shade when the sun gets too strong in the afternoon. We know most of the families in Jwahar Nagar because their children have been coming to us for years. It is just the regular routine of a local school trying to help the next generation get their start in the world.
