Muktai Traders

Muktai Traders is situated along the Kota Kaithun Road. We handle a bit of everything here, mostly acting as a middle point for various goods coming through the area. It’s a fairly large space compared to some of the small shops, but it’s mostly used for storage. We have stacks of crates and bags piled up toward the back. The front part is where we meet people and talk about orders. Kota Kaithun Road is a long stretch, and we see a lot of trucks passing by every hour. The vibration from the heavy vehicles sometimes makes the items on our shelves rattle. We don’t have a fancy office, just a couple of plastic chairs and a wooden table where we do the accounts. It’s often quite hot during the afternoons, so we keep a large jug of water for anyone who stops by. We’ve been operating here for a few years, slowly getting to know the other traders and farmers in the region. Our hours are a bit irregular; if there is a delivery coming, we might stay open much later than usual. We don’t really do any advertising. Most of our business comes from word of mouth or people just seeing the sign while driving past. It’s a straightforward business. We move things from one place to another and try to keep things moving. It’s dusty and loud, but it’s our way of making a living. We just keep going and hope the rain doesn't leak.
